1. Instagram spices up Stories with new polling feature

This week Instagram added “poll” stickers, which users can place in their story. Users can see the results form while voting is still taking place. 2. Snapchat’s worldwide ad revenues set to slow, research says

Snapchat is expected to make $774.1 million this year compared to last years ad revenue of $935.5 million. Although their ad revenues are going down, the amount of people using photo-sharing apps are only increasing. Instagram announced their story feature in August 2016 and continues to announce new features that seems to be affecting Snapchat.
3.U.S. Congress asks Twitter to do more to prevent undermining our democracy

On Tuesday, lawmakers Reps. Bonnie Watson Coleman and Emanuel Cleaver sent a letter to Twitter addressing how Twitter does not affectively remove racist and violent behavior exhibited by users. It will be interesting to see if Twitter will make any changes to fix this issue.
4. Twitter Adds Ability to Upload and Send Videos via TweetDeck

TweetDeck now allows users to upload any kind of content at a scheduled time. The Twitter Management app has been announcing upgrades throughout the year, such as their time and date search filters and the paid version of the app. TweetDeck is a tool that all social media managers and active users should have access to!
5.Snapchat’s AR art installations are live in select cities

On Monday, a feature that allows users to locate several installations related to the app had been leaked. Artist Jeff Koo’s installed several of his giant balloon animal installations in Paris, New York, Chicago, Toronto, Rio de Janeiro, California, and Washington, DC.
