1. Why Facebook is Beating Craigslist as the Best Online Marketplace

2. Facebook will teach the unemployed digital/social media skills in 30 cities

Facebook yet again does another cool thing. Facebook announced they will be touring 30 cities in the United States to teach digital and social media skills to the unemployed. 3. Facebook gets local with updated events app

The Facebook announcements aren’t over quite yet and it looks like Yelp has some competition. Facebook Local allows users helps users find what to do, what to eat, and where to go by your friends. Facebook hopes the app will attract small businesses to the site.

4. Twitter now lets your display name be longer too – up to 50 characters

Twitter recently announced tweets have a limit to 280 characters a few week ago and looks like they are not done with updates! Users can now have display names that are up to 50 characters. What do you think about this update and how quickly do you think this update will be abused?

5. Pinterest adds custom QR-like codes for businesses, more shippable pins
