Snapchat and Warner Bros. have collab-ed to create the very first voice-activated augmented reality (AR) lens to help promote a new superhero movie fittingly titled “Shazam!” If you’re on Snapchat and interested in this feature say: “OK, Shazam!” after opening the lens to see yourself as a superhero!
2. YouTube Launches Pop-Up ‘Experiential House’ in NYC

Alright, listen up, all of you YouTube lovers! The video-sharing site just opened a new “YouTube House” pop-up in NYC. YouTube House includes designated areas for YouTube TV, YouTube’s TV-alternative offering, YouTube Gaming, virtual reality, a fitness studio, a kitchen and YouTube Music. Also, creator merchandise will be sold as well. But we don’t want to get you too excited … it’s still not clear if YouTube House is open to the public, or only creators.

Twitter decided to not-so-subtly comment on the recent breaches in data privacy by taking over a user’s account and joking about reading their DMs. It went down in the DMs… but voluntarily. Social media consultant, Matt Navarra, orchestrated the prank with Twitter.
4. Facebook Will Ban White Nationalist And White Supremacist Content

Facebook has announced it will start banning white nationalist, white separatist, and white supremacist content. Additionally, it will ban any direct users who tries to post that type of content to the website of the nonprofit Life After Hate, which functions to de-radicalize people drawn into hate groups.
5. Instagram Tests A ‘Video Scrubbing’ Feature
Ever want to skip to a specific section in a video on Instagram? Us too! The new feature will allow you to “scrub” over videos to select where you’d like to start watching, and let you fast forward if you are starting to become disinterested. This is one of the most highly requested features for users, and Instagram may finally be delivering!
