There’s a lot of exciting social media news this week! Instagram is testing its screenshots, identifying, and re-sharing functions. Facebook has a new Lists feature and is testing the ‘Downvote’ option. At the same time, Snapchat’s Snap Map allows you to follow social trend around the world — on a new web platform. Read more about the social media trends this week in our #MMSocialReport:
1. Some people who screenshot Instagram Stories are getting flagged

Want to know the hottest events around the city? Snapchat’s new web-based map makes users easily view public stories posted from specific places. Isn’t it also a great opportunity for media organizations to drive engagement and provide real-time content?
3. Instagram reportedly testing ‘re-sharing’ function in Stories
by Leon Poultney via @techradar
The re-sharing feature on Instagram allows you to share other’s public content to your own story. Will this option drive users who don’t want their hard work being pinched to turn their accounts to private? Let’s keep an eye on it.

by @danideahl via @verge
In light of Facebook’s pivot to more “meaningful” content, Facebook’s new Lists feature encourages users to share more personal content on their page. From a travel wishlist to a to-do list, let’s see how much your friends love to share!

by @adhutchinson via @socialmedia2day
Facebook is also testing another feature – Downvote! Although it seems to go against its previously stated logic for avoiding a “dislike” button, Facebook is trying to encourage interaction on comments based on user votes. Let’s see if this function will generate conversation between people in a positive way or (like most functions on Facebook, it seems) a negative one.
