1. Twitter introduces a battery-saving ‘Lights Out’ dark-mode option

Let’s get edgy … Twitter has implemented an even darker version of the app’s already-existing dark mode. Due to some user dissatisfaction with Twitter’s initial dark theme (a more blue-ish shade rather than true black), there is now the capability for users to make the the current dark mode more of a pitch black.
2. Tinder hired a new chief product officer to keep college kids on the app

Tinder is ramping up its strategy to target the app’s youngest users – Gen Zers (18- to 22-year-olds). Tinder hired a new chief product officer recently who hails from Facebook. Ravi Mehta was brought on to the Tinder team in an effort to develop more features for a younger audience. Last year Tinder began explicitly tapping into the this demographic with the release of Tinder U, its college student-only service that requires users to have an active .edu email address and be on campus. We’re curious to see what else Tinder has in store for Gen Z…

Have you ever secretly stalked someone else’s Facebook profile? Well, now it may not be so secret … Facebook has decided to let users see who has viewed their profile, and let’s just say we are very skeptical to see what will come of this new update … or is it all just an evil April Fools prank?
4. Snapchat’s Testing New Snap Map Tools and Mention Stickers

Snapchat is working to make their map tools more interactive, allowing users to be able to check-in to locations with a bitmoji and create a virtual passport of all locations traveled. This new update will also allow users to mention their friends in stories by tagging them!
5. Report: Millions of Facebook user records left exposed online
We’d like to say we’re surprised, but it’s way too predictable at this point. Yep, you guessed it… Facebook is involved in another privacy scandal! Apparently hundreds of millions of Facebook users’ records (including some plain text passwords) were found exposed online and available for the taking.

Guinness World Records reported that the royal couple earned the record for the fastest time to obtain a million followers on the platform.
