Account Managers at Metter are constantly browsing social feeds for information and inspo, and we’ve been making it a point to save and share our favorite COVID-19 related social media posts with the team. These posts aren’t news and updates on the situation, but rather things like how to spend spare time, helpful advice, ways to keep positive, and what brands are doing to help. Here on the blog, we’ll be publishing a weekly roundup of these posts – read on for our first list, and check back every week for a new round.
1. Beverage company @takearecess makes a fun play on social distancing with an interactive carousel. This is a great idea for a relatable, tag-your-friend type of post.

2. Creative agency @hellobigidea reminds us that good things like kindness and smiles are contagious, too!
3. Social media scheduler @later designed an eye-popping graphic to show a list of resources — good inspo if you have an archive of blog content around a specific topic that people may find helpful.
4. The @futurefemales movement uses an original meme to support local, an action people and businesses alike are encouraging at this time.
5. Our clients’ content featuring staff members always performs significantly well, and clothing brand @americaneagle takes this approach to share advice for followers. Put a face to your brand and try this with some of your staffers!
6. Probiotic @seed announced a new initiative related to COVID-19 in a way that makes sense. The blank image also inclines viewers to pause and turn their attention to the info they’re presenting.
7. Health and wellness website @iamwellandgood uses a simple list format to share some tiny moments of appreciation everyone can use a reminder of.
8. @areyouokcampaign took advantage of a new season and created a collage of ideas to encourage some satisfying things we can all be doing with spare time at home.
9. A lot of accounts are sharing lists of things, which is great, but you want yours to stand out. Career platform @createcultivate presents their list in the format of a phone note — something everyone can recognize.
10. Instagram planner @planoly created something anyone who has a streaming obsession can relate to: a spin on the music festival featuring channels and shows!
The creative matches that of a festival lineup and includes something for everyone. This is an idea that could be easily related back to your business with categories and items in a shop or restaurant, or just go the pop culture route for something fun and recognizable.
