1. Snapchat’s reimagined ‘Discover’ still feels like a square peg in a round hole

In an effort to boost advertising, Snapchat tried to redesign its Discover page in order to capture more viewers’ attention. The new page gives viewers the sense of watching a TV commercial rather than the usual, enjoyable Snapchat content. While they succeeded in gaining more views and attracting consumers, many take issue with the fact that this new page simply does not feel like a proper fit for the Snapchat experience.

Attention: 72 new emojis are coming this month! Part of Unicode’s commitment to growth and diversity, a new roster of sports symbols and medals are here just in time for the Rio Olympics.
