1. New Ways to Control Your Experience on Twitter
By @EmilLeong via @twitter
Sometimes the Twitter world can be overwhelming. Luckily, the higher-ups have been working on new ways for users to reclaim control while improving their social media experience. The network announced last Thursday two new settings that will help users personalize and enhance their time on Twitter, including the ability to limit notifications and better access to the notifications tab. Twitter has also added a quality filter to improve the tweets you see. What do you think of these changes? Do you feel like you’ve regained some control or can more be done?

By @JessConditt via @engadget
We couldn’t write this week’s Social Report without mentioning that it’s Women’s Equality Day! In this spirit, we thought we’d share how Unicode’s emoji rules have added a handful of dual-gendered jobs that give basically every human emoji both male and female versions. As a company founded by women, we are excited for more ways for females to represent themselves in the social media world.

With so much content constantly making its way into our everyday lives, how can we keep the relationship healthy?

The I Am A Witness campaign, launched by The Ad Council, has created a digital solution to help young people bring awareness to their plight with a signature eye emoji meant to stop bullies in their tracks by letting them know they are being watched.
