Sometimes you can find her at TD Garden during Bruins games manning the social media on the Jumbotron; sometimes you can find her traversing the crosswalks of Central Square on the way to #MMHQ; and most of the time, you can find her loving her extremely cute dog Charlotte. We’re here for allllllll the adorable doggo Stories.
Jen started at Metter Media in January 2019 as a part-time member of the insurance team, and she quickly rose up the ranks to become a full-time Account Manager who works with both nonprofit + insurance clients. Jen specializes in client relations, coming up with outside-of-the-box ideas for her clients, and being an all around asset to our team here at Metter. How did you get your start in social media?
I spent a few years working in TV ad sales after college and realized it wasn’t the right fit for me. A lot of the brands we were working with started shifting towards social media and that was where I wanted to be. I started taking a few grad classes in social media and digital strategy to see if it really was the right fit for me and ended up loving it. From there, I applied for the full master’s program and got a new job in influencer marketing. This was when I started to develop my love for all things social media and helping brands develop their voice online.
When did you join Metter Media?
Just over a year ago! I started with Metter Media in January 2019.
Why is social media important/relevant to your industry?
Having a presence online is important for any industry — for insurance and nonprofit clients, we focus on building awareness, engaging with customers, and ensuring these organizations are thought leaders for their industry.
What campaigns have you helped create that make your clients stand out from the rest?
There are so many fun campaigns for each client I work with but I really enjoy doing staff spotlights. It gives me a chance to meet more employees aside from the day to day teams I work with. On social media, audiences love being able to put a face to a brand and that’s what we do through these staff spotlights.
What’s your #MMProTip
Be consistent — not only with posting but with the aesthetic. It’s important to be present online but also have a recognizable feed so audiences can immediately associate your posts with your brand.
Proudest moment so far?
Working with a nonprofit client! They are so different from the insurance clients I typically work with and the work they do is so important — I love being able to help them share their story and the impact they’re having on the community.
