How did you get your start in social media?
I got my start in social media in 2014. After getting my first freelance design project through social media, I saw the power it had to connect people in more of a business sense. I had thought about shifting my focus from graphic design to the social media space + this is what drove me to make the jump.
I ended up having three internships focused on social media marketing and knew exactly that was what I wanted to do in my career.
When did you join Metter Media?
I joined Metter Media in September 2019 — one of the best choices I have ever made! I love being able to work in a fast-paced environment, surrounded by great people, where I have the opportunity to learn new things every single day.
Why is social media important/relevant to your industry?
For residential, hospitality, and corporate industries, social media is how you tell your story. If you’re looking for a luxury apartment, where to order takeout, or what an office’s company culture is like — their social media is where you will look for these answers.
What campaigns have you helped create that make your clients stand out from the rest?
I’ve had the opportunity to work on many different campaigns across multiple industries. I’d say one of my favorites to work on was Meet NERD + NERD Creative for Microsoft New England. Being a people person, I loved getting to read the answers to our interview questions and learn more about each individual’s background.
What’s your #MMProTip (what would you recommend to someone who wants to elevate their social profiles)
Be Authentic and true to your brand values + mission. Create a community, be thoughtful about what you post, and have a diverse mix of content.
Proudest moment so far?
I am proud to have been able to develop close relationships with my clients and get to know more about their lives inside and outside of the office. I look forward to my monthly meetings with them and being able to catch up, especially during this time.
