Today, we’re spotlighting our amazing Account Manager for our insurance + law clients, Hannah Graves! Hannah’s been with Metter for almost 9 months now, and right from the get-go we were inspired by her passion + enthusiasm, work ethic, responsiveness to clients, and support of the whole MM team.
Hannah not only manages some of our largest clients at MM, but she also is Captain of our PPC (Party Planning Committee), started our JEDI (Justice Equity Diversity Inclusion) Group, and makes a ton of sweet tie-dye and handmade beaded sunglass chains over at @beachwearbyhg. From sending flowers to teammates and clients to brighten their days to being an upbeat source of energy on all calls and meetings, we’re thankful to have Hannah on the team!
How did you get your start in social media?
One of my first summer internships in college was at the Information Sciences social media lab at Cornell University. I participated in the NSF funded project “Clockwise” which was to create an interactive watch that computed and relayed circadian rhythms back to the user. I specifically research and designed ways for the data to be shown to the user in digestible and effective ways. This is exactly what social media is, how to effectively exchange information.
When did you join Metter Media?
I joined Metter in October of 2019! One of the highlights of 2019.
Why is social media important/relevant to your industry?
Social media is relevant to the Insurance industry because it helps our local agents connect to the communities and people they serve. Showing up online where you show up in person in your community is a top priority for my clients.
What campaigns have you helped create that make your clients stand out from the rest?
I was really proud of the recent ads we have run to show the support of our insurance agencies at this time. We love to take the local angle approach and emphasize that our agents live and work in the same places you do. Community it the best way to connect and help my clients shine.
What’s your #MMProTip (what would you recommend to someone who wants to elevate their social profiles)
Social media for your business is not just a snap and post. With social media, you must be thoughtful about the messages and content you are putting out into the world. Don’t post just because you need to. A thoughtful strategy is way more effective than posting 4 times a day.
